Instinction is a New Zealand studio’s spiritual successor to Dino Crisis

"A modern take on an age old cult classic."

Instinction is what New Zealand-based developer Hashbane Interactive is calling a “spiritual successor to Dino Crisis” and is planned for a 2022 release on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

Boasting “lots of dinosaurs”, Hashbane says Instinction will also sport a “beautifully crafted world” alongside “a gripping new tale with incredibly responsive combat and weaponry, advanced dismemberment, interactive and destructible environments, leveraging off of Unreal Engine’s next generation technology to deliver an incredibly wholesome and engaging experience.”

“We wanted what many gamers wanted, a modern take on an age old cult classic, a dinosaur survival game with modern mechanics and a compelling story, after 20 years waiting we had no choice but to make one ourselves, and it had to be amazing so as to pay homage to the original, with full mod support for the community,” a Hashbane representative said of their title.

You can check out a teaser trailer for Instinction below.

Instinction is developed by Hashbane Interactive and is planned for a Q3 2022 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5.
