Injustice 2: Atom to be added to the fighter’s roster

Atom is the latest fighter to be announced for NetherRealm’s Injustice 2.

“Physics prodigy Ryan Choi took on the mantle of the Atom when his mentor — and original Atom —Ray Palmer mysteriously disappeared,” NetherRealm said as part of Atom’s introductory video.

“Now armed with quantum shrinking technology, Ryan will use the subatomic power of the quantum bio-belt to seek out his lost friend and further the fight for justice.”

Atom, detailed as “coming soon” by developer NetherRealm, won’t be headed to Injustice 2 all that soonsoon — the combatants of its “Fighter Pack 2” DLC are yet to be released. That DLC bundle includes Black Manta, Raiden and Hellboy.

What do you make of Atom and his powers? Are you happy he’ll be represented by Choi rather than Palmer? Why or why not?

Injustice 2 is now available on Xbox One and PS4. We reviewed it here.
