HP completes acquisition of HyperX

HP has today completed its acquisition of peripherals company HyperX, it has today announced.

“We are delighted to officially welcome the incredible people of HyperX to HP,” said Alex Cho, president, Personal Systems, HP Inc. “HyperX has built a loyal following among gamers and we look forward to further strengthening the HyperX brand.”

“This acquisition further advances our ability to create the compute experiences of the future, expand into valuable adjacencies, and unlock new sources of growth,” Cho continued.

HyperX was purchased by HP for $425 million USD, with HP saying the acquisition will drive growth in its personal systems business through sales of headsets, keyboards, mice, mouse pads, microphones and other console accessories.
