Destiny’s “House of Wolves” won’t have a Raid at launch, but one is coming

The internet’s… well, confused… about whether or not Destiny‘s “House of Wolves” expansion has a Raid.

Turns out, it will. Eventually. Kinda, sorta.

Bungie used an update on their blog to explain what’s happening. The expansion will come bundled with a new endgame activity at launch, and a new Raid will be patched into Destiny later on.

“We didn’t make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year,” Bungie said of the decision.

The new endgame, a Battle Arena called The Prison of Elders, will focus on “variety, replayability, and skill”.

Bungie has promised to detail The Prison of Elders in the coming weeks. Assumedly, the same is true for the new Raid.

Destiny‘s “House of Wolves” expansion is due on 19 May.
