Homeworld Remastered Collection brings 2 RTS classics back to PC

And it's free at launch!

The Homeworld Remastered Collection will head to PC on 28 July… and best of all, it will be free for launch.

The collection bundles Homeworld Classic and Homeworld 2 Classic alongside Homeworld Remastered, Homeworld 2 Remastered and the Homeworld Remastered multiplayer beta.

“The competitive multiplayer modes for both Homeworld and Homeworld 2 have been combined into one centralized mode that will allow you access to content (races, maps and game modes) and improvements, features and technology from both games, allowing you to play unlimited online competitive multiplayer space battles on an epic scale,” a press release detailed.

Moreover — and as we detailed earlier this morning —  the Homeworld Remastered Collection will be available for free on the Epic Games Store between 28 July and 4 August.

The remastered versions of the RTS classics will boast updated high-res textures and models, new graphical effects, support for up to 4K resolutions, a new audio mix, new cinematic scenes and mod support.
