Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation exclusives detailed

Oh yay, we're doing this again...

Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation exclusive content was today detailed by Warner Bros.

On PS4 and PS5, players will gain access to a unique quest alongside a unique potions recipe.

“The PlayStation exclusive quest comes with any PlayStation version of the game. It is not tied to pre-order,” Avalanche’s Chandler Wood said on Twitter. “Pre-order on PlayStation will get you the Felix Felicis potion recipe. More details are coming soon.”

Wood made the clarification after players noticed mention of an “exclusive quest” on PlayStation Store listings.

Update: The exclusive quest has today been identified as “Haunted Hogsmeade,” which was detailed in a new trailer (which we’ll embed when available).

“Madam Mason has a Hogsmeade shop to sell – but there’s a catch. Uncover what lies beneath this haunted shop during a PlayStation exclusive quest,” Sony said of the content. “Watch your step – not everyone who enters is able to escape the darkness.”

“Fans who pre-order the game for PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 will also receive the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe,” added Warner Bros. “All additional exclusive PlayStation content can be unlocked upon completing the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest and associated dungeon, including the in-game Shopkeeper’s Cosmetic Set. Players who complete the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest and associated dungeon will also get exclusive access to their own shop in Hogsmeade where they can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else in-game.”

Hogwarts Legacy is extremely troublesome for a sizeable segment of players, set in a world created by transphobe J.K. Rowling and with a former staffer allegedly connected to alt-right movements. A report from last year suggests Warner Bros and Portkey Games are including the ability to play as a transgender character in-game, though this has not been fully confirmed.

Hogwarts Legacy is expected on 10 February 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
