HMAS Vampire now available in World of Warships

The HMAS Vampire is the latest addition to World of Warships Ships of the Commonwealth fleet.

Available today, players can nab the warship by taking part in a Vampire Marathon. Running until 20 December, players will have to take part in five battles, excluding training missions, to get the ship for free. Following 20 December, the HMAS Vampire can be purchased in-game.

“The HMAS Vampire is the number one most requested Australian ship by World of Warships players. It is great to be able to listen and deploy her ahead of Christmas, bringing such an iconic RAN ship back to life 75 years on,” Travis Plane, Wargaming ANZ Country Manager said.

The HMAS Vampire was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy from the Royal British Navy in 1933. She was deployed to World War II to form part of the Scrap Iron Flotilla, performing essential patrol and escort duties during that time.

World of Warships is available on Windows PC. For more information on the Vampire Marathon, head here.
