Hitman’s physical release delayed to 2017

Square Enix today confirmed that the physical edition of Hitman won’t arrive until January 2017.

The game, available digitally (in part) from today, marks the first time the franchise has gone episodic.

“This year is all about delivering the best episodic experience for Hitman and that takes us to Autumn/Fall,” Square Enix said to Polygon. “Releasing the disc version in January just makes sure we have enough time after the season concludes to dedicate to getting the best disc version of the game out.”

The disc will include complete version of the game. The game’s prologue and Paris map are currently available digitally on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
