Hitman’s beta needs an internet connection, but the full game doesn’t

Square Enix today confirmed that a constant internet connection is required for Hitman’s upcoming beta.

That doesn’t apply to the full game, for the most part.

“Yes, you can play the full game offline after you have downloaded an episode,” Square Enix told  VideoGamer. “But there are live elements which you will need to access online.”

Hitman goes into beta on 12 February for PS4 and 19 February for Windows PC. It’ll be available from 11 March on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
