Hitman 3 is an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC

Hitman 3 is an Epic Games Store exclusived on PC for a timed period of one year, developer IO Interactive today disclosed.

“As an independent studio, our partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create Hitman 3 exactly as we imagined and self-publish the game to our players directly. It’s also important to us that we honour the time our existing PC players have spent in our previous games,” IO said in a statement today.

The studio also confirmed that those who’ve been playing Hitman 2 on PC via Steam will be given the chance to “carryover their current progression and unlocks” alongside locations from both Hitman and Hitman 2

“We want to make it a seamless process for our PC players to enjoy Hitman 3 on a different PC platform and continue to enjoy the benefits of our World of Assassination,” IO concluded.

The news accompanied a reveal of the game’s Dartmoor, England location, seen in the trailer below.

Hitman 3 heads to Windows PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia where available in January 2021.
