Hideo Kojima added to Control on PC

And he's coming to Xbox and PS5 soon!

A cameo from Hideo Kojima has been added to Control on PC, and will head to Xbox Series X and PS5 “in the near future”.

The cameo was actually added to Control‘s PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition way back in the day but has only been finding its way to current-gen of late, Remedy’s Vida Starcevic confirmed. It was part of a cameo swap between Remedy and Kojima Productions; Remedy’s Sam Lake features as Death Stranding‘s Veteran Porter.

“All players will receive the mission Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience, featuring voiceover by Hideo Kojima,” wrote Starcevic. “The mission is playable when you pick up the Dr Tokui Tapes collectible in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector.”

The update also adds three new outfits, and contains a series of bug fixes.

Control is currently available on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5.
