Here’s your first real look at Star Trek Starfleet Academy

Hard bodies and lens flares.

Star Trek Starfleet Academy was properly shown off at Comic-Con today ahead of the TV series’ 2026 debut.

In its first trailer, below, you’ll find Holly Hunter as the half-Lanthanite head of the academy, Captain Nahla Ake, alongside looks at Voyager‘s Doctor (played by Roberto Picardo), Jett Reno (Discovery‘s Tig Notaro), Admiral Vance (Discovery‘s Oded Fehr), a Klingon/Jem’Hadar cadet master named Lura Thok (Gina Yashere), and the villainous Klingon/Tellarite hybrid Nus Braka (Paul Giamatti).

The trailer also shows off the series’ cadets, Sandro Rosta as Caleb Mir, Karim Diané as Jay-Den Kraag, Kerrice Brooks as Series Acclimation Mil or Sam, George Hawkins as Darem Reymi, and Bella Shepard as Genesis Lythe.

There’s quite a lot of nostalgia in-built into the trailer, with references to a bevy of Star Trek characters from Enterprise all the way through Picard. Which did you spot?

Near the end of the trailer, we also get a glimpse of the show’s ship, the U.S.S. Athena.

We’ll have more on Star Trek Starfleet Academy as information is provided. The series is expected to debut in 2026; production on its second season is already underway.
