Here’s what happens to your Diablo 4 Season 1 character

Want to keep them? You'll need to do a bit of work!

Diablo 4 Season 1 is soon making way for Season 2, Season of Blood, and that means changes when it comes to your seasonal character.

As you likely know, Diablo 4 makes you use a new character for each season. With that in mind, the question is: what happens to my Season 1 character when Season 2 begins?

Activision Blizzard has recently confirmed that your Season 1 character will be moved to the Eternal Realm once Season 1 concludes. If you want to access and save that character — and its stash — you’ll need to do so before the end of Season 2.

While your character will be accessible in the Eternal Realm’s character select, items will be found within a new tab of the stash titled “Withdraw Only Stash tab”. Malignant Hearts won’t make the jump across realms, but they only worked within Season 1 anyway.

We detailed what’s coming in Season of Blood here; perhaps the most exciting thing is it’ll take us 40% less time to level up to Level 100 as compared to Season of the Malignant. Rejoice!

Diablo 4 is now on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5; we reviewed it here.
