Henry Cavill feeds the flame after reports he’s done as Superman

Reports that Henry Cavill is done as the DC Comics’ Cinematic Universe version of Superman have been followed up by a strange video from the actor himself.

The Hollywood Reporter today alleges that Cavill’s done as Superman after failed negociations between his representation and Warner Bros. to appear as a cameo in the upcoming Shazam film. THR continues to report that Warner Bros. will instead focus on a Supergirl film before recasting Superman for a film later on.

Cavill hasn’t really commented on the situation, but took to Instagram to share a short video of himself lifting a Superman action figure into view, wearing a ‘Krypton Lifting Team’ t-shirt whilst doing so. Cavill wrote, “Today was exciting #Superman” on the post itself. The video is below.

We’ll keep you up to speed as more is known. Cavill was recently cast as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’ upcoming The Witcher TV series.
