Halo composer O’Donnell scores a headshot against Bungie in ongoing legal battle

Marty O’Donnell, composer on epic titles like Halo and Destiny, has come out on top in yet another portion of an ongoing legal battle against former employer Bungie.

VentureBeat reports that Bungie had taken away O’Donnell’s founder shares when he was released by the company in April 2014.

A hearing last week granted a preliminary injunction to restore O’Donnell’s shares.

The argument in the injunction is that the shares would be given up if O’Donnell ever left Bungie volutarily. O’Donnell’s case hinges on the fact that he didn’t leave of his own choosing.

Last month, a US court ordered that Bungie pay O’Donnell $95,019 for unpaid work, unused vacation time and damages.
