Gun Interactive ends work on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

No more updates or bug fixes.

Gun Interactive has ended its work on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, saying the game is “fully realized”.

While Gun will push future updates transitioning the asymmetrical horror game towards peer-to-peer matchmaking, it has confirmed “there will be no more DLC, balance updates, or bug fixes”.

“We feel proud of the game we’ve made and we’re happy that we’re at a point where we feel The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has reached its full potential,” a statement from Gun reads.

“From the very beginning, we’ve always had a clear and concise vision for this game. We wanted to push the envelope on multiplayer asymmetrical horror, shed light on this iconic film to a newer generation, and place folks into the beautiful but macabre world of Muerto County and we feel we have achieved that.”

Gun also confirmed that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre “is NOT being delisted from store fronts” as a result of today’s news.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. We reviewed it here.
