Guardians of the Galaxy writer Mary DeMarle joins BioWare

That's a big change.

Deus Ex and Guardians of the Galaxy writer Mary DeMarle has joined EA’s BioWare.

DeMarle took to her own LinkedIn account with the news, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Narrative Director at EA/BioWare!”

The writer got her start in the industry as a writer back in 1998 and has worked on franchises including Myst, Homeworld, Deus Ex and, of course, Eidos Montreal’s latest, Guardians of the Galaxy. We’ve had the privilege of speaking with Mary on two occasions: once for Deus Ex Mankind Divided and again for Guardians.

It’s unclear what DeMarle is working on for BioWare, but it could include the likes of Dragon Age Dreadwolf or Mass Effect 4. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Guardians of the Galaxy is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5. We reviewed it here and awarded it Best Narrative and Runner-Up GOTY honours at Stevivor’s GOTY 2021 awards.
