Grand Theft Auto V’s Rockstar Editor lets you record, edit gameplay on Windows PC

Rockstar today confirmed details of the Rockstar Editor, a video editor included with the Windows PC version of Grand Theft Auto V.

Like similar recording offerings on PS4 and Xbox One, the editor lets gamers manually time a recording or use the last 30 to 90 seconds of gameplay.

The editor also produces a free-roam camera “within a defined area where the action is taking place,” according to the developer, to spectate goings-on.

Also included with the editor is a Director mode that will allow gamers to produce content akin to machinima.

The editor is included free with Grand Theft Auto V on PC, available today.
