Gotham Knights isn’t great, but gets points for pride

Sadly, it's not enough to save the overall package.

Gotham Knights reviews have been released, and let’s just be honest, here: we didn’t like it. We do, however, like the bits and pieces it has that relate to pride and representation.

First, Gotham Knights not only has a Pride flag within the Belfry, the headquarters of Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl and Red Hood, but it has a very Pride-friendly district in the West End.

West End’s motto is “Where Everybody Matters”, and comes complete with a Pride crosswalk. You can see the crosswalk itself above, alongside a map of where to find it below.

It’s not much, but it’s a nice addition, especially considering Gotham Knights has a brilliant photo mode that means you’ll be able to take some great shots. The current DC Universe’s Tim Drake is very much bisexual (yay!), but it’s unclear if the Belfry’s flag is in support of his coming out or not. We’re just going to say it is.

Gotham Knights is available from tomorrow, 22 October, on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5. We reviewed the game here.
