GaymerX Australia halfway to its Kickstarter funding goal

GX, or GaymerX Australia, is now at the halfway mark of its Kickstarter funding goal.

With eight days remaining, the convention is seeking to raise approximately $24,200 AUD more.

“We believe that all gamers and geeks deserve a space to play, share their interests, and meet like-minded folks without fear of harassment or bullying because of who they are,” GX Australia said of itself on its Kickstarter page. “Video games have come so far, with tons of great examples of representation in both mainstream and indie titles, but there’s still work to be done to make sure everyone feels included.”

GX Australia is set to run over 27-28 February 2016 at Sydney’s Australian Technology Park.
