Gamescom Opening Night Live returns this August

But there's Summer Game Fest before that!

The Gamescom Opening Night Live event will return in August, host and producer Geoff Keighley confirmed over the Easter weekend.

Opening Night Live returns live on Tuesday, August 22 from Koelnmesse in Germany,” Keighley wrote on Twitter.

That will likely align with 23 August here in Australia, depending on the time of the event.

“Excited to be back in Cologne with the fans and industry, streaming video game news directly to you,” Keighley continued.

Between now and then, of course, is Keighley’s Summer Game Fest; that event will run over June and has essentially replaced the now-cancelled E3 2023.

We’ll keep informed about this year’s Gamescom as more information is released.
