Get on board!

Games Done Queer is a new LGBTQIA+ charity speedrunning event that kicks off tomorrow, organisers at Games Done Quick have revealed.

The event “will raise funds for the Lambda Legal and Education Fund, the oldest legal organization in the US, dedicated to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of LGBTQ+ people and everyone living with HIV,” organisers said in a press release. “Lambda Legal works through impact litigation, education, and public policy work to secure justice and equality.”

While the full schedule is here, highlight events include:

  • Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze – Any% Funky Mode on Switch 2 by MoahRikunel
  • Eternal Darkness Sanity’s Requiem – 100% One Alignment on GameCube by Pandora_jane
  • Elite Beat Agents Showcase – on 3DS by Motoss
  • Kitsune Tails – Kiri% on PC by debeaunairVT

Running over 1-3 November here in Australia, the event will be broadcast via Games Done Quick’s Twitch channel.

Best of luck to those participating, and we hope those spectating are feeling generous.
