Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen cast as Batman in Titans

Game of Thrones Iain Glen has been cast as Batman inside the DC Universe’s Titans live-action TV show.

Batman — and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne — have both appeared in Titans’ first season, though always shot from the back. In season two, producers have confirmed with Deadline that the two characters will play a much larger role in Titans itself.

“Billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime,” they said. “Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”

Glen will play an older version of Bruce Wayne, decades into his career as Batman. He’s previously played Jorah Mormont and characters in both the Resident Evil and Tomb Raider film franchises.

Alongside Glen’s casting, Titans has also cast Joshua Orphin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Chella Man as Joseph Wilson/Jericho, Esai Morales as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke and Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson/Ravager for season two.

Titans is exclusive to the DC Universe streaming service in the USA; in Australia, it airs on Netflix.
