Free Assassin’s Creed Mirage update adds permadeath, New Game Plus

Time to jump back in?

A new, free Assassin’s Creed Mirage update will add both permadeath and a New Game Plus mode, Ubisoft has confirmed.

The update, expected in December, will add permadeath to any of Mirage‘s existing difficulties, including the New Game Plus mode.

An exact release date has not been set as yet; we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Mirage is a bit of a divergence from the latest Assassin’s Creed titles, ditching hundred-hour-long campaigns for something closer to twenty.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a rare example of taking two steps back and staying there intentionally; to return to an older style of gameplay that equates to smaller and cheaper but certainly not lesser,” Ben wrote in his review back in October.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5.
