Forza Motorsport confirmed for Xbox Series X

Forza Motorsport — the eighth main iteration of the franchise — was today confirmed to be in production for Xbox Series X.

“Witness the power of Xbox Series X through Forza Motorsport. Automotive entertainment is reimagined for a new generation,” today’s announcement trailer reads.

“The Xbox Series X is about speed and immersion, connecting players to the Forza universe, and to one another, like never before,” Microsoft added. “Currently early in development, Forza Motorsport will run at 4K, 60 frames per second with scenes connected and dynamic. Ray tracing is coming to ForzaTech, creating a dynamic world where everything is connected – from surfaces of cars reflecting off each other, brilliant red paint reflected off of detailed track surfaces and light and shadow interplay.”

As you’d expect, Forza Motorsport is in development by Turn 10.

We’ll have more on Forza Motorsport when it becomes available. The title is planned for Windows PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox One, part of the Xbox Game Pass program.
