Fortnite update 15.10 brings 120FPS to current-gen, Performance Mode to PC

The future is now.

Fortnite update 15.10 is now available, bringing support for 120FPS (frames-per-second) on Xbox Series S & X and PS5 in addition to a new Performance Mode on PC.

First, Xbox Series S & X and PS5 consoles with displays that can support 120FPS can take advantage of the speedy framerate, available via Fortnite‘s Video Settings. Once there, select “120 FPS Mode”.

On Xbox Series S, gameplay at 60FPS has been boosted to 1200p from 1080p in all game modes.

Over on PC, the update will offer up a new Performance Mode that “offers significant performance gains by trading out visual quality to lower memory usage and lighten the load on CPU and GPU,” according to Epic Games. “For players already on low scalability settings or less powerful hardware, this mode will allow the game to run better than ever before and maintain a smoother framerate.”

Fortnite recently added God of War‘s Kratos alongside Halo Infinite‘s Master Chief. The game is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
