Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 will be held at the Australian Open

The Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 event will be held at this year’s Australian Open and feature both Charity ProAm & Competitive Solos matches, Epic has advised.

The Charity ProAm portion of the event will be held at Margaret Court Arena on Saturday, 1 February 2020. It’ll feature players like LazarBeam and Loserfruit, offering up $100,000 AUD in prize money as follows:

  • 1st place: $30,000.00
  • 2nd place: $21,000.00
  • 3rd place: $15,000.00
  • 4th place: $12,000.00
  • 5th place: $6,000.00
  • 6th place: $4,500.00
  • 7th-10th place: $3,000.00

The Competitive Solos tournament will follow on Sunday, 2 February and feature players including Lachlan, Muselk, MrFreshAsian and more. There’s a $400,000 AUD prize pool up for grabs, allocated as follows:

  • 1st place: $100,000
  • 2nd place: $40,000
  • 3rd place: $25,000
  • 4th place: $18,000
  • 5th place: $11,000
  • 6th place: $10,000
  • 7th place: $8,000
  • 8th place: $6,000
  • 9th place: $5,000
  • 10th-24th place: $3,000
  • 25th-90th place: $2,000
