Five Nights at Freddy’s creator is teasing details of its next installment

Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon is using his web page to tease details of the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.

The number 87 has repeatedly been injected into the web page’s source code and SEO details.

Fans of the franchise believe 87 refers to the “bite of ’87”, as per FNaF lore.

Essentially, the bite of ’87 started the entire chain of events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza that has lead to three terrifying games.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is scheduled for a Halloween release.
