The first Super Mario Odyssey review awards a perfect score

The first Super Mario Odyssey review has assigned the game a perfect score — and (shock, horror), it wasn’t Famitsu.

EDGE Magazine delayed their latest issue in order to publish a game granted an “exclusive embargo” originally teased on Twitter, Nintendo Everything’s already found a copy on a store shelf.

In that issue, EDGE awarded the game a 10/10 score.

As for our review? Don’t expect it for a while — we don’t even have a review code to start playing as yet. For now, you’ll have to make due with our latest preview. In it, we said Odyssey was “a great throwback to the Marios of old.”

Super Mario Odyssey heads to the Nintendo Switch on 27 October.
