Final Fantasy XV: Upcoming Power Rangers-like costumes are being redesigned

Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata used a new Active Time Report update to confirm that upcoming “Booster Pack” DLC Magitek Suits will need to be redesigned ahead of the content’s launch.

The suits — bearing a striking resemblance to those worn by the protagonists of Power Rangers — need to be redesigned because of that very comparison.

Tabata used the update to confirm that Square Enix was contacted by Saban over the suit design. Square Enix then “spent the day looking into various things, and what we’ve decided is to redo the design” Tabata said.

“They don’t look exactly the same, and as for the copyright, even if these are our original designs, it seems like they will cause problems for others,” he added.

The “Booster Pack” DLC is expected on 21 February. Final Fantasy XV is available now on Xbox One and PS4.
