Final Fantasy 7 Remake a timed exclusive until 2021

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a timed exclusive until 2021, its PS4 cover has confirmed.

“PlayStation Exclusive. Play first on PS4,” is featured on the game’s cover art (via Square Enix’s website, via Wario64), with a further message indicating that timed exclusivity period will last a full year, until 3 March 2021.

Admittedly, we kind of expected this — earlier in the year, Xbox Germany accidentally tweeted an advertisement of sorts for Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Xbox One, though that ad suggested the game would be out at the same time as on PS4: 3 March 2020.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake heads to PS4 on 3 March 2020, followed by a likely release on Xbox One and PC (or is that Project Scarlett and PC?) on 3 March 2021.
