Final Fantasy 14 Online Oceanic servers coming in patch 6.1

Finally.

Final Fantasy 14 Online Oceanic servers will be available from patch 6.1, Square Enix has recently confirmed.

This means those of us here in Australia will be able to use local servers rather than connecting to our (now) closest ones in either Japan or North America.

While this is great news, Aussies sadly have some time to wait to take advantage. Patch 6.1 will introduce the game’s newest expansion, Endwalker, from 23 November 2021. The expansion itself will bring a host of new locales, a new Alliance Raid series and, perhaps most importantly, playable male Viera.

Final Fantasy 14 Online is currently available on Windows PC, PS4 and PS5. Endwalker is planned for a 23 November release.
