Project Zero Maiden of Black Water release date set for October

The 2014 Wii U title is getting a glow up.

Project Zero Maiden of Black Water will head to PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch on 28 October, Koei Tecmo has today confirmed.

The game is “an enhanced version” of a Wii U release from 2014.

The title “takes players to the eerie Mt. Hikami, a sacred location haunted by bizarre and unfortunate occurrences – and a place where the water is believed to be housed by vengeful spirits,” Koei Tecmo said. “Through the eyes of Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki, they will rely on just a flashlight and a unique camera – the Camera Obscura – with the ability to take pictures of ghosts, as they explore the mountain to find those who have disappeared. Will players be able to repel the deadly ghosts and uncover the mysteries surrounding Mt. Hikami?”

We reviewed the title on Wii U back in 2014.

Project Zero Maiden of Black Water  will be known as Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water over in America. Expect the title on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch from 28 October.
