Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness heads to Vietnam in June

Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness, the game’s first major piece of DLC, will be available from 5 June on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Players will fill the shoes of Hope County’s Wendell ‘Red’ Redler, tasked to “find and rescue his fellow squad members from hostile forces during the Vietnam War.”

Available in solo or co-op play, the rolling hills of Montana will be swapped for “a dangerous jungle where they must rescue imprisoned squad mates, wreak havoc on the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army, and fight to get back home by any means necessary,” Ubisoft advises.

“This first DLC adventure will feature new gear and abilities as well as two different playable modes that will be unlocked after completing Hours of Darkness: Survivor Mode, giving players a limited loadout for a more challenging playthrough, and Action Movie Mode, where a generous loadout delivers over-the-top action.”

New Vietnam-themed assets for Far Cry Arcade will also be made available.

Two later pieces of major DLC — Lost on Mars and Dead Living Zombies – are also planned for the title.

Far Cry 5 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
