Evil Dead adds 40-player Splatter Royale

And it's exactly what you think it is.

Evil Dead has added the 40-player Splatter Royale to its offerings, letting players fight one another in a demonic battle royale.

The update, available on all platforms, will set 40-players against one another; scavenging supplies and weaponry will of course be key to survival. Elite and Boss NPCs will also litter the playing field, offering extra challenge.

The update comes with paid content in the form of new survivor, Ruby Knowby. The character first appeared in the Ash vs Evil Dead TV show and is, of course, voiced by Lucy Lawless.

Ruby has powers of regeneration, increased resistance to possession and can “consume souls to make her aura stronger and charge her unique ability, triggering a deadly blast that damages evil units within range and heals nearby Survivors,” according to a press release.

Evil Dead The Game is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5. We reviewed the game here.
