Everspace 2 Xbox, PlayStation release date set for August

Joining the title on PC.

The Everspace 2 Xbox Series and PS5 release date has been set for 15 August, Rockfish has today announced.

The space shooter is already available on Windows PC via Steam and Windows Store, though its console release was delayed after a straight up cancellation for last-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4.

Everspace 2 is already part of PC Game Pass; its console release will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from 15 August. Best yet, Everspace 2 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you’ll be able to bounce back and forth between the platforms using the Game Pass versions.

Everspace 2 is a fast-paced single-player spaceship shooter with worthwhile exploration in space and on planets, tons of loot, RPG elements, mining, and crafting,” Rockfish said of the sequel.

“Experience a thoughtful sci-fi story, set in a vivid, handcrafted open world full of secrets, puzzles, and perils. In the campaign, you will make some friends with their own story to tell. They will join you on side missions and provide certain benefits in the endgame, where vicious encounters and brutal challenges will stand between you and that next epic loot drop.”

Everspace 2 is currently available on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store; it heads to Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 from 15 August.
