Tennis World Tour Esports tournament taking place at Roland Garros

Tennis World Tour Esports tournament will take place at this year’s Roland Garros, it’s recently been confirmed.

Roland Garros, otherwise known as the French Open, will run over 26 May to 9 June 2019. The Tennis World Tour Esports tournament will take place in the first week of Roland Garros itself. A €10,000 prize pool is up for grabs, with €5,000 earmarked for the Grand Final winner.

Players can register to take part in qualifying rounds which will be offered as a combination of online and offline events in ten different countries — Germany, United States, France, China, India, Brazil, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy and Spain — across February. Those who make it to semi-finals will be playing the pre-release version of Tennis World Tour – Roland Garros Edition, which heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch on 16 May. The new edition of the game will include Roland Garros’ Philippe Chatrier court.

Tennis World Tour is currently available Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
