Sydney Drop Bears the Overwatch Contenders AUS finals winner

The Sydney Drop Bears have emerged victorious as the inaugural Overwatch Contenders Australia champions.

The Drop Bears took out Masterminds GC in a decisive 4-0 clean sweep in the Contenders Australia finals, taking its spot as the premier path-to-pro Overwatch team in Australia and New Zealand.

Last weekend’s matches saw the Drop Bears defeat Dark Sided in semi-finals action, with Drop Bears giving Dark Sided its first defeat of the Contenders’ inaugural season. Masterminds GC defeated Blank Blue to make it to finals action.

The second season of Overwatch Contenders Australia will begin on 1 July.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
