StarCraft II WSC 2018 events detailed by Blizzard

Blizzard today detailed the StarCraft II World Championship Series (WCS) 2018.

The competition’s upcoming season will feature the same number of Circuit events as in 2017, but will also include a new kickoff at WSC Leipzig in January.

“At this event, and the three additional Circuit tournaments taking place at DreamHack events throughout the year, the champion will receive a direct seed into the Global Finals at the end of the year,” Blizzard advised. “The regional representation for each of these events will remain the same as well, with two players qualifying from Australia/New Zealand, four players from Europe, four from North America, two from Latin America, two from China, and two from the Asia Pacific region.”

Moreover, Blizzard also confirmed three major world events for WSC 2018: IEM Katowice, GSL vs. The World and, finally, the WCS Global Finals.
