Rainbow Six Siege’s next year includes Metal Gear Solid, more eSports

And we've got the skinny.

Rainbow Six Siege‘s eleventh year has been detailed by Ubisoft and includes a Metal Gear Solid collaboration and more eEsports.

Year 11 begins with Metal Gear Solid and Operation Silent Hunt

Operation Silent Hunt will kick off Year 11 of Siege on 3 March and includes none other than Metal Gear Solid‘s Solid Snake. Better still, Snake will be voiced by his original voice actor, the iconic David Hayter.

“This iconic attacker will give players access to intel gathering gadget never seen before in Siege, as well as a brand-new secondary weapon – the legendary handgun TACIT .45 – a semi-automatic pistol with integrated suppressor built for covert operations,” Ubisoft said in a press release. “Solid Snake combines stealth, agility, and tactical intelligence, offering valuable recon abilities for attacking players to gain the advantage in a match.”

We’ve more on Operation Silent Hunt and Solid Snake thanks to a fabulous preview by Hamish, found here.

Year 11 Seasons 2, 3, and 4 detailed

“[Year 11] will also deliver an Operator remaster in Season 2, with Dokkaebi evolving into a high-pressure intel-denial Attacker, loaded with a new weapon as part of her reinforced combat identity. This season will also bring a brand-new map that pays homage to Rainbow’s iconic Vegas era – Calypso Casino,” Ubisoft said of what’s to come after Solid Snake.

Season 3 follows with “the addition of a brand-new Defender to the squad, a powerful counter shield operator,” Ubisoft added.

“Finally, Season 4 will unveil the Social HUB,” the publisher continued. “It will offer players an in-game space to exchange with friends, send invites, and manage their squad, no matter what platform they use. A rework of Hostage will feature Season 4 to ensure it fits Siege’s tactical DNA and works on a competitive level.”

More on Season 4 is promised later in the year.

Rainbow Six Siege eSports continues into 2027

Alongside all this, Ubisoft has confirmed it has renewed a global partnership with BLAST when it comes to Siege eSports. The partnership will feature Salt Lake City, Japan, and Brazil confirmed as host locations for the 2026–27 Majors and Six Invitational.

2026/27 Season events are as follows:

  • BLAST Rainbow Six Major – Salt Lake City, United States (8th-17th May 2026)
  • BLAST Rainbow Six Major – Japan (6th-15th November 2026)
  • Six Invitational 2027 – Brazil (February 2027)

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. Snake goes live with Year 11 Season 1 on 3 March 2026.
