Overwatch Contenders Australia Season 3 starts up today.

While Contenders itself has changed, so too has the Aussie landscape. A number of teams will compete under different names in Season 3. Teams are as follows:

  • Sydney Drop Bears

  • Heist (formerly Dark Sided)
  • Freshman Class (Trials)
  • Breakaway Esports (formerly Tainted Minds)
  • Kanga Esports
  • Melbourne Mavericks (formerly Serenity)
  • ORDER

Blank Esports has moved from Contenders Pacific to take part in Contenders Australia for the first time.

There are a number of roster changes inside teams as well; the Sydney Drop Bears have lost Kelsey ‘Colourhex’ Birse to the Overwatch League’s Boston Uprising, while Ashley ‘Trill’ Powell has signed with the Contenders North America’s Team Envy.

The pool for Contenders Season 3 is as follows:

  • Control: Busan, Ilios, Lijiang Tower
  • Hybrid: Hollywood, Numbani
