AUS, NZ CS:GO teams can now register for the BenQ ZOWIE eTREMESLAND 2017 Asia Cup qualifiers

BenQ ZOWIE and ESL Australia today detailed the qualifier for the BenQ ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2017 Asia Cup for both Australia and New Zealand.

Any CS: Go player in the Oceanic region is eligible to compete over a 3-week qualifier. From there, 16 teams from 14 regions will complete over 19-22 October in the BenQ ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND event in Shanghai, China. A $100,000 USD prize pool is up for grabs.

The qualifier itself runs in three stages, with the first two events taking place online. The first event begins on 22 July, while the second starts on 6 August. A final, offline stage will take place on 9 September at the ESL Studios in Sydney. Chiefs Esports and Grayhound Gaming have been invited directly to the final round.

“Over the years as Counter-Strike has progressed in Australia and New Zealand, our local teams have further sought out the opportunity to compete on both the local and international levels in the LAN environment,” said ESL Australia’s Nick Vanzetti. “BenQ ZOWIE have been able to create such a program where teams from our region will have the best possible opportunities to not only compete internationally, but be successful as well.”
