Esports may be featured at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris

A report from ESPN suggests Esports may be included at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Paris Olympic bid committee co-president Tony Estanguet will propose Esports’ addition to the Olympics to the International Olympic Committee in a meeting held in Peru next month.

“We have to look at it because we can’t say, ‘It’s not us. It’s not about Olympics,'” Estanguet said of the move. “The youth, yes they are interested in eSport and this kind of thing. Let’s look at it. Let’s meet them. Let’s try if we can find some bridges.”

The 2024 Olympic program will be finalised in 2019, so there’s still plenty of time to debate the addition.
