EA to take part in LGBT Pride Month

Electronic Arts has taken to its blog to confirm that the company will be participating in a variety of LGBT Pride Month activities throughout June.

A rainbow flag will be flown at EA’s Redwood Shores headquarters, whilst simultaneously holding “a number of activities to celebrate Pride” for its employees.

EA will also participate in Pride Parades in cities like Vancouver, Austin, Los Angeles, Orlando Seattle, San Francisco and Stockholm. “EA employees will walk (and shout, and dance…) in these parades in the cities where we work to celebrate Pride and inclusion,” the blog post confirmed.

It’s initiatives like these — plus EA’s Full Spectrum conference earlier in the year — that sure distance the publisher from its “Worst Company in America” vote in our books. That being said, what do you think of EA’s decision to support the gay and lesbian community like this?
