EA thinks there are around 60 million PS4, Xbox One consoles out in the wild

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, says the publisher estimates that there are “around 60 million” combined PS4 and Xbox One consoles around the world.

EA had previously set that estimation at 55 million consoles at the end of 2015.

There’s no real way to confirm these numbers; while Sony is reporting on consoles sold, Microsoft has elected not to this console generation.
