EA sends Wing Commander I, II and Privateer through the Australian Classification process for the first time

Update: EA Australia has declined to comment on the matter.

It’s likely we’re ahead of planned PR for the titles; we’ll keep you posted.

Original story: The AUSVGClassificiations Twitter account has just informed followers of the recent classifications of classics Wing Commander, Wing Commander II and Wing Commander: Privateer.

The original Wing Commander hit the PC in 1990, followed by II in 1991 and Privateer in 1993.

These three titles have never been classified in Australia, though Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger and Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom were at their respective launches. The new classifications suggest a relaunch of the titles by EA in the country.

We’ve asked EA Australia for clarification and will report back when more is known.
