EA Play won’t have Dragon Age, Mass Effect… but might have Dead Space

Ooh.

EA has today advised that its July EA Play livestream will not feature information about a new Mass Effect or Dragon Age game. The assertion comes at the same time clever gamers have realised that official Dead Space accounts are being rejuvenated for the first time in years.

First, EA studio BioWare took to Twitter to confirm that, “We’re hard at work creating the next [Dragon Age and Mass Effect] games and have some exciting stuff coming to [Star Wars the Old Republic] this year… [and] we won’t be showing anything at EA Play Live.”

The statement came at the same time eagle-eyed Twitter user SierraI07 noticed that official Dead Space accounts changed their profile pictures from Dead Space 3 imagery to generic Dead Space ones (below).

The profile image change only fuels rumours that EA Motive will announce either a Dead Space reboot, remaster or adjacent title at 23 July’s EA Play Live.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about any of the three franchises. EA today also confirmed that it will broadcast four pre-show livestreams ahead of its major 23 July conference.
