EA Originals program to support indie devs; Fe is the first game under the label

EA’s Patrick Söderlund today detailed its EA Originals program, one that will offer up experiences similar to Unravel.

According to Söderlund, the program has three key goals:

  • To take first-time experiences that are unique, innovative and memorable and bring them to the world;
  • To support small developers to make the most of their games, and;
  • To fund and offer a new level of security to developers.

Soderland said the program will give all of the money earned by games back to their developers so they can continue to create better games.

EA revealed Fe, the first title under the program. It’s being created by Zoink, a small team from Sweden.

The game is said to be a narrative about our relationship with nature, taking place without using a single word.

We’ll have more on Fe as it becomes available.
