According to a report from Bloomberg.
EA has laid off up to 400 staff members at the same time it has cancelled a Titanfall extraction shooter, a new report from Bloomberg states.
The report follows a social media post by developer Respawn that confirmed “targeted team adjustments across Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi“.
Bloomberg reports that up to 400 staff members have been laid off at EA, with approximately 100 coming from Respawn.
“As part of our continued focus on our long-term strategic priorities, we’ve made select changes within our organization that more effectively aligns teams and allocates resources in service of driving future growth,” EA’s Justin Higgs added in a statement to Bloomberg.
Bloomberg stated that the Titanfall extraction shooter was codenamed R7 and wasn’t very far along in development.
