EA apologises to Muslim fighter over Christian in-game UFC 2 celebration

EA has apologised to UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomdov after a Christian celebration animation was applied to his Muslim in-game character.

The in-game character celebrations seem to trigger at random; the Christian animation in question wasn’t specifically applied to Nurmagomdov.

Nurmagomdov took to Twitter to express his concern after seeing his in-game representation make a cross over his chest after a victory.

For its part, EA immediately apologised and said the issue would be fixed in an upcoming patch.
